IMCO PURPOSE STATEMENT

In consideration of our common goal in reaching Aboriginal peoples in North America with the gospel of Jesus Christ toward the establishment of a strong and reproductive Native church, the following Mission agencies,

___Continental Mission,
___Impact North Ministries,
___Indian Life Ministries,
___InterAct Ministries,
___Living Hope Native Ministries,
___Native Evangelical Fellowship of Canada,
___North America Indigenous Ministries,
___Northern Canada Evangelical Mission,
___Northern Youth Ministries,
___SEND International of Alaska, and
___United Indian Missions International,

do covenant to work together in an association known as INTER-MISSION COOPERATIVE OUTREACH in the following ways:

To carry out specific areas of research, to develop and test ministry concepts, and to share programs and strategy that would help to accelerate progress toward our objective;

To coordinate and assist in the establishing of accurate data and information leading to responsible decisions on the part of each mission in expansion of their ministries;

To provide the best possible field training emphasizing the spiritual, missiological, cultural, and practical aspects required for successful evangelism and discipleship leading to the establishment of Native churches;

To encourage the growth and development of Native churches by association with groups such as the Native Evangelical Fellowship of Canada;

To act as a clearing house and information centre for the various services and materials available through individual missions in order to eliminate needless duplication and provide wider use of available resources;

To assemble semi-annually for meetings and occasional conferences, or as otherwise needed to carry out the above purposes.
